FCDS Adds Corey Parr to Tennis Staff

Forsyth Country Day School is proud to announce that former Demon Deacon and two-time All-American Cory Parr has joined the FCDS tennis program to support head coach Harold Moore. Parr will be a resource to the tennis families by helping to coordinate off-season training schedules for both the girls’ and boys’ programs.
During his time at Wake Forest University from 2006 to 2009, Parr achieved a ranking of No. 1 in the country along with doubles partner Steven Forman. The duo claimed Wake Forest's first-ever national title, winning the 2008 ITA National Indoor doubles title. In singles action, Parr, a native of Jericho, New York, was ranked as high as No. 7 in the country. Following his graduation from Wake Forest in 2009, Parr competed on the professional tour, winning 12 professional doubles titles. During his time on the tour, Parr was ranked as high as 779 in singles and 272 in doubles.
Forsyth Country Day School Athletic Director Doug Esleeck said, “Adding Cory to our staff is an ace for our tennis families. Cory has played at the highest level, and he knows what it takes to maximize talent and training to give our student-athletes the best opportunity to be successful. We are excited to see Cory supplement an already excellent tennis staff with his energy and knowledge of youth tennis.”
