Endowment Funds

Endowment funds play a crucial role in allowing Forsyth Country Day School to fulfill its mission and ensure its future financial stability.
An endowment fund can be compared to a long-term investment or savings plan. It is a “permanent” fund in which the principal is invested and the earnings are spent. A strong endowment allows the school to provide dynamic programming, recruit a diverse community of learners, and cover the operating costs that come with innovative facilities. Our endowment relieves pressure on tuition and annual giving, ensuring the continued affordability of an FCDS education.
While endowment funds are established through sizable initial gifts, they may grow through smaller, ongoing gifts from supporters of the school.

Forsyth Country Day School has a collection of 20 restricted and unrestricted endowment funds. As of June 30, 2016, these endowments were valued at $10.8 million.

We are grateful to alumni, parents, trustees, grandparents, faculty and staff, and friends for establishing the funds listed below.
