  • Associate Director of College Counseling

    Forsyth Country Day School seeks an associate director of college counseling to serve as a key member of a college counseling team dedicated to helping students find their purpose and realize their potential for what’s ahead. This is a full time, 12-month position that reports to the Director of College Counseling. Click here to learn more

  • Assistant Director of Preschool

    The Assistant Director of Preschool is passionate about supporting the children and teachers of the Preschool as they live out the Forsyth Country Day School’s mission of preparing our children for what’s ahead. The ADP will be responsible for providing leadership that fosters growth in all domains of development. Those domains include the following: Social/Emotional, Language/Literacy, Math/Logical Reasoning, Physical (fine and gross motor), and Adaptive Skills. The ADP will ensure that the faculty has the resources and support they need to promote our students’ ability to explore and grow through intentional learning in a nurturing environment. The ADP is a 12-month position and reports to the Director of Preschool.

    The ideal candidate will be an individual with significant experience working in the field of early childhood education.  In addition to being thoughtful and empathetic, candidates should demonstrate exceptional organizational, communication, and decision-making skills. They should consistently uphold the school’s policies, mission, and core values. The ADP should establish strong relationships with teachers, students, and parents.

  • Orchestra/Music Instructor, Upper and Middle School - Fall 2021

    An Orchestra/Music Instructor at Forsyth Country Day School provides a safe, nurturing environment for students in his or her classroom, utilizing the school’s instructional program. The teacher works to create meaningful, developmentally appropriate learning experiences in order to continue to build strong foundational skills for lifelong learning. Teachers are committed to growth as professionals and individuals, and value and respect every member of the community. Music instructors at FCDS teach choir, band, orchestra, or a combination of all.

  • Upper School Math Teacher - Fall 2021, full time, 10 month position

    Forsyth Country Day School is seeking a full-time Upper School Mathematics Teacher for the 2021-22 School Year. The ideal candidate would be adept at leveraging both direct instruction and facilitated activities that engage students in authentic problem-solving while building their skills and competencies.

    Qualified candidates should have a bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field. A master's degree in math or math teaching and teaching experience in a secondary or postsecondary school setting are preferred. Anticipated courses for this position include, but are not limited to, AP Calculus and Precalculus.

  • Lower School Lead Teacher - Fall 2021

    Forsyth Country Day School is seeking a full-time Lower School lead teacher for the 2021-2022 school year (kindergarten-fourth grade). The ideal candidate will be a skilled, dynamic instructor with experience teaching structured literacy, Words Their Way, guided math and Singapore math, and Writer’s Workshop. The candidate should be enthusiastic about participating in curriculum collaboration with teammates and specialists. Candidates should be comfortable providing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students, be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues on a regular basis, and share information relative to student progress. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate commitment to growing and learning through professional development courses and workshops. Applicants must, at a minimum, be a college graduate with a BS or BA degree, preferably in education.

  • Lower School Science Teacher - Fall 2021, Part-time, 10 month position

    Forsyth Country Day School is seeking a part-time Lower Science Teacher to teach Kindergarten STEAM and First Grade Science for the 2021-2022 school year. The ideal candidate would be adept at leveraging both direct instruction and facilitated activities that engage students in authentic problem-solving.

    Requirements: Bachelor's degree in elementary education or science education required. A master’s degree and experience teaching in an elementary school setting are preferred.

  • Preschool Lead Teacher - Fall 2021

    12 month full-time position, M-F 7:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m.

    Primary responsibilities:
    • Model and instill a love of learning
    • Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children’s learning and growth
    • Observe, evaluate and monitor student performance in all areas of development: social-emotional, language and literacy, logical-mathematical, and physical
    • Design and implement appropriate instruction in line with the school standards, curriculum, and student needs
    • Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in an atmosphere of respect and rapport
    • Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families based on trust, understanding, and respect
    • Manage student behavior in the classroom by utilizing effective classroom management strategies
    Qualifications : 
    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field 
    • At least three years of teaching in an early childhood environment
    • Excellent understanding of the social, emotional, and academic needs of preschool-age children and how to provide for them
    • The ability to differentiate a rich, varied, and developmentally appropriate curriculum based on best practices and current research
    • A commitment to work collaboratively and innovatively with colleagues
    • Ability to communicate respectfully, proactively, and honestly both verbally and in writing with parents, colleagues, and administrators regarding curriculum, students, and child development issues

    12 month part-time position, M-F 7:45 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
     
     Primary responsibilities:

  • Bus Drivers

    Part-time Activity Bus Drivers
    Part-time bus drivers for athletic trips - afternoons and some evening hours. REQUIREMENTS: CDL with P&S endorsements, clean drug screen, clean background checks, health exam.     *COVID considerations - Buses are sanitized after every shift. Drivers and students are required to wear masks. Students will be seated spaced out from students from other families to maintain adequate social distancing. Windows will be open for ventilation.
