Student-led Fury 5K & Fun Run Benefit Hungry Children in Our Community

Upper School students Yasmin Horner, Oliver Jewell, Kathleen Quinn, Sahar Sayess, Hannah Spencer, Emma Spencer, Katherine Angell, Sarina Horner, and Prescott Breitling organized and ran this special charity event to help raise awareness and funds for at-risk children in Forsyth County. The funds raised will provide 1,600 meals for local kids.

“We are so grateful to the Forsyth Backpack Club and entire FCDS community for another well-organized, fun event that will directly benefit hungry school children in our community. We love to see teenagers make a plan and take positive action to implement that plan. The Fury 5K allows adults and kids of all ages to participate and make a real difference in the lives of children experiencing food insecurity. Together, FCDS and FBP are feeding our future, one backpack at a time!” Carol Templeton, Forsyth Backpack Program.

Congratulations to the Forsyth Backpack Program Club for making a difference in our community. Thank you to everyone who participated. The Forsyth Backpack Program is always looking for volunteers and donations to ease the food insecurity in Forsyth County.
