FCDS Middle Schoolers Ace the AMC 8

 
In November, 37 Middle School students competed in the American Mathematics Contest 8, which was online this year. The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple-choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills. The AMC 8 provides an opportunity for middle school students to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics.

Two students tied with the highest score for School Winner. Congratulations to Anika Pawa and Sara Insuasti for their excellent work!

8th Grade

7th Grade

6th Grade
     Gold: Elizabeth Pohjola

     Bronze (3-way tie): Norie Pocock, Katie Thompson, Maddox Harrell

5th Grade
