FCDS Announces 2025 Baccalaureate, Graduation Speakers

Forsyth Country Day School is pleased to announce that the Rev. Dr. Randell A. Cain, Jr. will speak at Baccalaureate on May 29 and Bradford Church ’08 will speak at Commencement on May 30.

Reverend Dr. Randell A. Cain, Jr. - Pastor at Zion Memorial Missionary Baptist Church

A native of Winston-Salem, Dr. Cain is an FCDS parent, alumni parent, and former member of the Board of Trustees. He earned a bachelor’s degree in General Science from Morehouse College, a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He earned his master of divinity degree from Hood Theological Seminary and his doctorate of ministry degree from Duke Divinity School.

Dr. Cain began a long career in investment management after graduating from Harvard. As a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), he worked with Putnam Investments, NationsBank Investment Management, JP Morgan, NCM Capital, Herndon Capital Management, and Sustainable Insight Capital Management as an Investment Analyst and/or Portfolio Manager. In 2021, he founded Kerusso Capital Management, LLC., where he serves as CEO and Chief Investment Officer.

From 2007-2016, Dr. Cain served as the Associate Minister and Assistant to the Pastor at Zion Memorial Missionary Baptist Church. He was elected the sixth Pastor of Zion Memorial in 2017.

Dr. Cain and his wife, Cynthia Rorie-Cain, have five children, all of whom attended FCDS: Hamilton ’14, Grant ’16, Olivia ’18, Victoria ’22, and Preston ’25.

Bradford Church ’08 - President and Chief Product Officer, Village Labs

After graduating from FCDS in 2008, Bradford earned his bachelor’s degree in English literature with a minor in managerial studies: corporate strategy from Vanderbilt University. After working at Accenture as a Data Analyst under the U.S. Department of Education, Bradford joined Uber in Washington, D.C. when it was still, in his words, a “semi-illegal taxi company”. He helped build Uber Pool and Uber Bus and focused on creating products for emerging markets, which allowed him to travel to countries including Ukraine, Egypt, Mexico, and India.

Bradford left Uber for four months to pursue his lifelong dream of writing a science fiction novel but returned to work when COVID hit. He joined a tech start-up, The Routing Company, where he led the product and engineering teams. With a fellow Uber alum, Bradford founded Village Labs, an AI start-up, where he is currently the President and Chief Product Officer.

Bradford and his wife Jess live in Atlanta with their two children, aged 2 and 3.
