Head of School - Valorie Baker

Dear Forsyth Country Day School Community,

It is with great excitement and deep gratitude that I join the Forsyth Country Day School family as your Head of School. From my very first conversations with members of this community, it was clear that FCDS is a special place—one where students are challenged and inspired, and where relationships are the foundation of everything we do.

As I begin this journey, I have spent time listening, learning, and getting to know the people who make this school exceptional. I have met faculty and staff whose passion for teaching is unmistakable, parents who are deeply invested in their children's growth, alumni whose love for FCDS endures long after graduation, and students whose curiosity, kindness, and confidence embody the very best of this community.

What has impressed me most is the school's unwavering commitment to preparing students not only for college, but for what's ahead. At Forsyth Country Day, learning extends beyond the classroom. Students are encouraged to explore our core values - curiosity, compassion, integrity, respect and responsibility. That mission resonates deeply with me, and I am honored to help lead a school with such a strong foundation and an exciting future.

As we look ahead, my commitment is simple: to honor the traditions that have shaped FCDS while embracing opportunities to innovate and grow. Together, we will continue to cultivate an environment where every student feels a true sense of belonging, every teacher is empowered to inspire, and every family knows they are valued partners in their child's educational journey.
