Here are the steps to apply to FCDS:

Schedule a tour

We welcome you to see our school in action and tour our campus. There’s no substitute for seeing first-hand how our invested teachers engage our students. To schedule a tour, please book online, email, or call the Admission Office at 336-945-3151.
Submit your application

The FCDS application is easy. Use the Apply button above. If you still need to complete the Inquiry Form, do that first and we will send you your username to get started.
Arrange a classroom visit for your child

Schedule a day for your child to shadow a current student in kindergarten through 11th grade. Please email or call the Admission Office at 336-945-3151.
Testing/screenings

Kindergarten applicants will attend a scheduled Playdate. Applicants to Grades 1-12 should provide any standardized test scores that they have received. 
Share recommendations and transcripts

The Student Info Release form can be used to provide report cards and/or transcripts for all applicants to grade 1 through grade 12

Please be aware of the following age requirements for Preschool and Kindergarten:

  • Preschool 2s - Child must be 2 by August 1, 2025
  • Preschool 3s - Child must be 3 by August 1, 2025
  • Preschool 4s - Child must be 4 by August 1, 2025
  • Kindergarten - Child must be 5 by August 1, 2025

After the Application Process is Complete

  • Admission committee meets to review, discuss, and make admission decisions
  • Enrollment contracts are due back to Forsyth Country Day School two weeks after acceptance
  • If tuition assistance is needed, please submit a financial aid application found on the Tuitional & Affordability page concurrently with the Admission application.

Applications Open for 2026-2027: September 2
Preschool Applications Due: December 12
Preschool Re-Enrollment and Preschool 2s Acceptances:  January 23-February 6
K-12 Applications Due: January 30
Preschool 3s and 4s Applications Due:  February 12
Re-Enrollment K-12: February 13-27
K-12 Acceptances Announced: March 6-27
