Athletics
We know playing sports helps students build character, leadership, and responsibility.
Starting in sixth grade, every student at Forsyth is offered the opportunity to play sports and encouraged to be part of an athletic team.
Playing on a team gives your child the experience of building relationships with teammates and coaches, developing skills and confidence, and learning good sportsmanship.
From lacrosse to soccer to tennis to swimming to golf, our students give their all to every sport. Win or lose – our athletes gain so much by having the opportunity to play. Go Furies!
Our Mission
The FCDS Athletic Department’s mission is to provide athletic opportunities to challenge and develop Middle and Upper School students. As a co-curricular offering, athletics provides an environment for learning valuable life lessons in teamwork, leadership, perseverance, and sportsmanship. While academics are the priority for our students, athletics supports the mission of the school by facilitating the personal, social, moral, and physical development of our students.
