Upper School - Grade 9-12
High school is an exciting time when students find their voice and their passion.
We love that our students want to challenge themselves and one another academically, athletically, and artistically. FCDS is an ideal place for students to take risks, try new things, and figure out who they are.
Our Upper School students are very involved in campus life, creating a vibrant and engaged community that enhances their learning experience.
If your child is looking for a well-rounded high school experience that solidly prepares him or her for college and beyond, we encourage you to schedule a tour and have your child spend the day on campus.
Here’s Why Our High School Student Thrive at FCDS:
Individual Attention |
---|
Our students – and their parents – appreciate the personal attention they receive every day. Starting in ninth grade, every student has a dedicated faculty advisor and college counselor to guide them every step of the way. |
Invested Faculty |
---|
Our experienced teachers really know our students. Tutorial is available daily after school so students can meet with teachers to ask questions, recieve guidance, and prepare for upcoming assessments. |
Small Class Sizes |
---|
With a 1:12 faculty to student ratio in the Upper School, our teachers are able to spend with each student and help them meet their individual potential. Small class sizes allow every student to engage, participate, and ask questions in class. |
Opportunities for Personal Growth |
---|
Every student can participate in the arts and athletics and explore leadership and service opportunities. Students can create or join an expansive selection of clubs and activities, exploring interests in writing, politics, government, cultural diversity, or the environment. |
