- FCDS is in the midst of nine consecutive years of enrollment growth and is a leader among independent schools offering courses in STEM, entrepreneurship, arts, and architecture.
- The class of 2025 (84 students) was accepted to 122 different colleges in 17 states and two countries. They were accepted to Stanford, Davidson, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, UNC-Chapel Hill, UPenn, the University of Virginia, NC State, Wake Forest, Yale, and many other fine colleges.
- One member of the class of 2024 was a National Merit Scholarship winner.
- From 2021-2024, athletic teams won the Wells Fargo Cup as the most outstanding athletic program in the state. FCDS set a school record of 16 State Championships from 2021-2025.
- All Middle School classrooms have been modernized for optimal and intentional learning, with a plan to innovate all classrooms in the next few years.
- More than 20 campus improvements, including the Niblock Center, Williams Library Discovery Center, Barrineau Family Welcome Center, Engineering Center, Legacy Track, Williams Family Tennis Center, and Ogburn History Room, have been completed in the last seven years.
