FCDS Leadership Club Hosts Greater Good Forum

During the Greater Good Forum, Upper School students heard from guest speakers from H.O.P.E., Hydrating Humanity, and READ Winston-Salem. They also participated in activities to serve their community. Activities included making 500 lunches, cutting shapes for crafts and literacy activities, drafting a letter to local, state, and national representatives advocating for adequate literacy instruction for all students, and preparing crafts to be used in a future outreach activity at Kaleideum.

Students met representatives from various non-profit organizations to learn about available service work opportunities. They also spent time discussing how the school community should embrace service as an integral part of daily life.

Special thanks to community partners: Hydrating Humanity, H.O.P.E of Winston-Salem, READ Winston-Salem, Kaleideum Downtown, Forsyth Backpack Program, Teachers2Teachers, and Clemmons Food Pantry.
