Nominee
Please explain why you think the nominee/team should be selected to the Fury Athletic Hall of Fame. You must include a list of the activities in which the nominee/team participated, number of years of participation, accomplishments (including but not limited to records held, All-State and All-American recognitions, collegiate and/or professional participation), and any other relevant information. Please describe how this person/team made a significant contribution to athletics at Forsyth Country Day School.

Fury Athletic Hall of Fame

Purpose
The Fury Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes members of the Forsyth Country Day School family who have distinguished themselves as outstanding contributors to Fury Athletics, demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship and character, and established high standards of excellence in athletic achievement. Members should also be persons of high ethical standards and outstanding moral character.

Governance
A nine-member Selection Committee composed of the Athletic Director [or designated substitute], the Director of Alumni Affairs, members of the Alumni Board, faculty members, and at-large members as determined by the committee.  

The responsibilities of the Selection Board shall be as follows:
  1. To attend the regularly scheduled selection meeting.
  2. To fairly evaluate the nominees and supporting materials.
  3. To approve only those individuals who have had significant and/or long-term contributions or athletic accomplishments at Forsyth Country Day School.
  4. To keep all discussions and actions of the Selection Committee Confidential.
Criteria for Selection
  1. Categories
    1. Athlete
    2. Coach
    3. Team
    4. Contributor - Defined as an individual who has rendered outstanding service to the interscholastic athletic program at Forsyth Country Day School other than, or in addition to, as an athlete or as a coach.
  1. Requirements
    1. Athlete
      1. Must be out of high school for at least five years and;
      2. Must have demonstrated excellent athletic achievement, defined by but not limited to earning All-State and/or All-American status while attending Forsyth Country Day School, and/or must have had collegiate and/or professional participation.
    2. Coach - Must have served FCDS athletics in a distinguished manner.
     3. Team  - Must have a record of outstanding performance and represented FCDS athletics in a distinguished manner. 
     4. Contributor - Must have a record of outstanding service other than participation on or coaching of athletic teams at Forsyth Country Day School.
Nomination and Approval Process
  1. Anyone may nominate an individual for the Fury Athletic Hall of Fame by submitting (email or postal) the Nomination Form and relevant supporting materials for the candidate.
  2. All forms and materials must be submitted to the Selection Committee by the submission deadline each year.  The deadline will be made public on the Forsyth Country Day School website, and may also be available in other school-related publications.
  3. If a nominee is not elected to the Fury Athletic Hall of Fame in the year in which their nomination was submitted, the nomination will remain effective for the following two years.
  4. At the Selection Committee meeting, all supporting materials will be made available for the committee to review.  Once all questions and concerns have been addressed, the committee will vote on each nomination (members may vote in absentia under special circumstances).  For a candidate to be selected, he/she must receive a minimum ⅔ vote of the Selection Committee. If a member of the Selection Committee is also a nominee, he/she may not vote for him/herself.
