    My favorite FCDS memory is hanging out with all my friends one morning in November last year. We usually go to the area by the pond for break. This day was particularly beautiful. Not a cloud in the sky and light was hitting the water perfectly. All of my best guys were sitting on the bank looking at the water joking around. It was the perfect day.

    My favorite teacher would have to be Ms. Clay. I took her history class my junior year and grew very close to her. She makes me feel like I'm not alone.

    My favorite FCDS memory has been competing on the track and field team for the past three years. My coaches and teammates have been so supportive of me, and I have really grown both as an athlete and as a person as a result.

    My favorite FCDS memory is when Dr. Smith jumped up on a table in Honors Ancient and Medieval History during my freshman year. He was demonstrating the advantage of cavalry in warfare and he was very passionate about the subject. I think that experience was one of the moments that really got me interested in history, having a teacher who cared demonstrating their subject in a way that is unforgettable and extremely entertaining.

    My favorite teacher is Dr. Sponholtz. He was my teacher for Chemistry Foundations and AP Chemistry. His classes and teaching have allowed me to not only learn the science of chemistry, but also learn invaluable lessons and strategies for my future career in the sciences.

    My favorite class was 11th grade AP Language with Mrs. Harrington because I loved dissecting real-world problems and their interactions with literature and my own argumentative writing. While I’m not a huge reader, I enjoyed all of the books, especially The Sun Does Shine. The group work and lively discussions made it a class I would always look forward to!

I cannot describe how supportive he has been of my academic and extracurricular pursuits and decisions, and for that, I am incredibly grateful.

    My favorite FCDS memory would be just the whole experience. Coming to new a school was challenging especially in an environment I was not used to, but as I have grown older I can look back and I am thankful for all the memories and new friends I have gained at FCDS.

    My favorite class is physics with Mr. Cavanaugh, better known as Cavy. Cavy helped bring out my love for science and understanding what I need to do to pass an AP course. I loved AP Physics I my junior year, so I even decided to take AP Physics II my senior year of high school. If it weren't for Cavy, I would never have found a science course that I love.

    My favorite memory at FCDS was winning the 2022 Cross Country State Championship. On paper, we were counted out but that did not stop each of our top five runners from running a personal best time. The feeling of crossing the finish line with all of my teammates and counting our places to ensure that we had won the state title was amazing.

    My favorite FCDS memory is Dodgeball Friday in Lower School. On Fridays after school, we would all play dodgeball for hours and eat pizza. Mr. Martin would lead us as we played a lot of different types of dodgeball games, and it was all so much fun.

    My favorite teacher was Dr. Sponholtz. After taking AP Chemistry with him last year, my knowledge and appreciation for chemistry grew extensively, so much that I decided to pursue an independent study in organic chemistry. I always found his lectures on special topics outside of the curriculum, like antibiotic drug resistance, very engaging. I am grateful to have had him as a teacher, for he truly cares about each of his students as an individual.

    Favorite memory: Winning. Nothing compares to the feeling when I lifted that State Championship Trophy after a stellar season. Starting on varsity in 7th grade, I have been on some incredible teams with so much talent and some years some disappointing teams. Yet, every struggle during the past six varsity seasons was worth it just for that moment.
