Planning for the 2020-2021 School Year

With the reopening of our preschool on June 1, students and faculty are happy to be learning together and have adjusted quickly to the new health and safety protocols.

The success of our preschool reopening lays the groundwork for the safe return of our K-12 students on August 19, 2020. Our 2020-2021 Task Force has developed a carefully considered plan for opening the school year in a way that ensures the best learning environment for our students and prioritizes their safety.

We plan to offer classes on campus every day following CDC and NCDHHS guidelines. Children in grades 5-12 will have the option of virtually attending live classes occurring on campus at FCDS. If we need to pivot to virtual learning, no problem. The valuable learning will continue - no matter what!

We are pleased to provide information to help you and your family feel confident and comfortable with our plans for the year ahead. More information will be added as it becomes available.

During this time of uncertainty, the sense of community is so strong and more important than ever right now. I couldn't be more proud to be a Fury!” - Regina R., Lower School & Preschool parent
