FCDS YAG Delegation Excels at Statewide Conference


Congratulations to the almost 30 students who represented FCDS at the 2023 N.C. Youth and Government Conference in Raleigh! The students (with advisors RJ Hooker and Rachel Wrenn) spent four days learning about and participating in mock government to understand how to become changemakers and improve their communities. 

The following FCDS students were elected or appointed to new positions or earned awards at the conference: 

Springer Hiatt was appointed Chief of Staff.
Asmithaa Vinukonda was elected to serve as Attorney General.
Anika Pawa was elected to serve as District Attorney.
Grant Faraci was appointed YAG Legislative Associate.
Emma Cuthrell was appointed Speaker of the Forum Pro Tempore.
Jack Wall was recognized as a model Budget Analyst.
