FCDS Welcomes Director of Strength and Conditioning

Marc Heinecke, the new director of strength and conditioning, earned his bachelor’s degree from Truman State in Missouri, his master’s degree from the U.S. Sports Academy, and is currently working towards his doctorate in leadership in health and human performance at Concordia University Chicago. 
Prior to coming to FCDS, Marc served as head strength and conditioning coach for Winston-Salem State University Athletics for eight years, overseeing program design and training for WSSU’s athletes. Previously, he brought his strength and conditioning expertise to the athletes of Texas A&M - Kingsville and the University of Maryland. 
Marc holds numeral professional certifications that include: 
  • Certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) 
  • Registered strength and conditioning coach with distinction (NSCA)
  • Certified through USA Weightlifting,
  • Reflexive Performance Reset level one specialist,  
  • Certified specialist for speed and explosion for sports competition
  • Certified for sports nutrition by the American Sports Fitness Association.

Marc’s years of experience and expertise will make him a valuable asset to the Fury athletics staff and to the student-athletes that it serves.
