FCDS Spanish Students Earn National Recognition for Excellent Performance


Congratulations to the Spanish III and Honors Spanish IV students from Forsyth Country Day School who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2018-2019 National Spanish Examinations.

Students earned a total of three gold, four silver, and four bronze medals along with 15 honorable mentions. “Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious,” said Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, National Director of the Exams, “because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 146,000 students participating in 2019.”

The award recipients are:

Gold Medal Recipients: Karthik Lalwani, Patrick McBride, and Sid Subramanian

Silver Medal Recipients: Rebecca Drucker, Zachary Moore, Lilli Jewell, and Carolina Rocha Lima

Bronze Medal Recipients: Lexie Breitling, Jack Hutcherson, Mary Gray Speakman, and Carter Sullivan
