Furies Pick Up 8-1 Win
The Fury Varsity Tennis Team came home victorious after their visit to
Westchester Country Day School today. Our boys showed exceptional
focus as we swept 5 of 6 singles and all three doubles matches. Duncan
Hart scored our first point of the match with a 6-0, 6-1 win. He was
followed by; Spencer Muller 6-0, 6-2; Ben Williams 6-4, 6-0; Aran
Parnia 6-0, 6-7(5), 10-4; and Rohan Patel who played a two hour and
forty-five minute match, 7-5, 6-3. Nick Peters and Ben Williams played
well together at #1 doubles and earned a 9-7 victory. Baylor Matley
and Spencer Muller closed out an entertaining match at #2 doubles 8-6.
Duncan Hart and Aran Parnia took the #3 doubles match with
an 8-3 score. These matches were much tougher than the scores indicate
as there were long rallies for most points on all courts. This win
lifts our record to 6-3.
