AP Chemistry has been my favorite class at FCDS because of the applicability of the subject matter and because of the teacher, Dr. Sponholtz. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Sponholtz in his AP Chemistry class and throughout our work on the augmented and virtual reality chemistry project for his company, Sponholtz Productions, LLC. He has truly been an inspiration for me and is the reason that I love chemistry.

Every teacher I have had at FCDS could have qualified as my favorite but Mrs. Sutton stands out to me! Mrs. Sutton taught me English my senior year! She has prepared me to critically think which college professors will expect me to do. Her discussion circles taught me new skills and allowed me to demonstrate what I learned in a way beyond a pen and paper! She graduated from Furman University which is where I will be attending in the fall and has answered every question I had about the school and her experience. Mrs. Sutton has been a true mentor for me and a teacher I know that I will stay in contact with and can’t wait to come report back! Mrs. Sutton, like so many other FCDS teachers, has believed in my abilities and wanted me to succeed since day one and I could not thank her enough!
