Winter/Choopani Score Double Wins
The whole team played well tonight after our senior night celebration for Anna Su, Brynna Myers and Eva Zhou. We used the playoff tournament format tonight and it was a good tournament warmup for both teams. The three doubles matches were played first followed by singles.
Caldwell took an early lead in the #1 doubles match. We caught up at 4-4 and raced ahead to finish off the match 8-5. Our #2 and #3 doubles teams played well and lead from start to finish. After sweeping all three doubles matches, our players won the next two singles matches with lots of resistance from Caldwell.
Addison Winter and Erika Choopani were double winners while Julia Kincaid, Mary Brooks Hall, Sunna Maass, and Brynna Myers were all leading in their matches when play was stopped.
Our team is now 11-1. We play at Westchester Country Day on Monday, 10/4 and at home against Greensboro Day School on Tuesday, 10/5. Thanks to all of you who support our team.
