Want to help raise awareness and funds for at-risk children in Forsyth County - and have fun together as we celebrate our 50th? Join FCDS and Forsyth Backpack Program for this special charity 5K and fun run!
Saturday, April 18 at 9:00 a.m.
Did you know that it can take up to 10:00 a.m. on a Tuesday for a child’s brain to begin fully functioning again after skipping meals over the weekend? Did you know that in 2010 Forsyth County was the #1 most food insecure county in the nation?
Since then, Forsyth Backpack Program has worked to provide at-risk children with meals over the weekends, when they do not have access to the free meals that their school provides. Join Forsyth Backpack Program in a charity fun run and 5K to help raise awareness and money for at-risk children in Forsyth County.
The 5K will be held on the Forsyth Country Day School Cross Country Course at 9:00 on Saturday, April 18. Admission to the race is $25, and $30 at the door. One ticket provides meals for an at-risk child for a month. Winners from each heat will be provided with prizes. For an additional $10 you can purchase a T-shirt in addition to your admission fee. T-shirts will be for sale at the race for $15, but the supply is limited.
