    My favorite memory is playing lacrosse with the brotherhood. My favorite teacher is Mr. Kildahl because he is a great man. I am most looking forward to continuing lacrosse in college.

    FCDS gave me the opportunity to participate in multiple sports and activities. I learned how to manage my time so that I could challenge myself in classes while being a part of many groups offered through the school. I’m really grateful to be able to take the lessons I’ve learned from my awesome teachers, coaches, and administrators into the next chapter of my life. I am so grateful and honored to have had such incredible people prepare me for my future.

    Mrs. Lopez is my favorite teacher. She is my advisor and I had her for Spanish I and II my freshman and sophomore year. Mrs. Lopez has always been there for me whenever I needed her. I am truly grateful for everything she has done for me and I do not know how I can ever repay her. I will truly miss her next year.

    My favorite FCDS memory was the 8th grade trip to Washington, DC. I loved traveling on the bus around the city to different monuments and touring museums such as the Air and Space Museum and the Smithsonian National History Museum. This trip was my first to D.C. and the city is definitely one of my favorites to visit now.

    FCDS has prepared me for my next steps by making me learn time management. I feel that I will be able to handle college golf and academics because of FCDS’s preparation.

    My favorite teacher is Mrs. Harrington. She has been my advisor for three years and is one of the most supportive and caring people I have ever met. I can truly say that without a doubt Mrs. Harrington has changed my life and I will always be thankful for her.

     2-4 and 11-12

    Mr. McBride’s AP US History was my favorite class at FCDS. Every day was both fun and informative and it was very fun. In second grade, Mrs. Shaw’s class was amazing. It made me grow as a student and a person because of an extremely caring teacher.

    My favorite FCDS memory has to be senior night for basketball. I played well but more importantly, I had all my FCDS friends and family’s watching me. Feeling the support of the FCDS community made the memory everlasting.

    FCDS has prepared me educationally for what’s ahead with great AP classes with amazing teachers. FCDS has also given me friends for life that will be with me for what’s ahead.

    First year at FCDS:
     Pre-K

    My favorite memory is cheering for the 4x400 track relay teams at the end of the meets have always been one of my favorite things about the FCDS track team. I also remember having so much fun during our fifth grade feast of the gods' celebration.

    My favorite teacher is Danny Lough and my favorite class was anatomy and physiology with Mr. Lough. I loved this class because Mr. Lough was so good at making memorization fun and he also had a lot of dissections for us to do.

    My favorite FCDS memory was the making and unveiling of each FCDS French film. It was awesome to see most of the student body laughing and enjoying something I played a large part in creating. It also helped me feel like a significant part of the FCDS community.

    Making the varsity baseball team in eighth grade was a highlight. My favorite teacher is Mr. Calderon because he makes learning fun while teaching math.

    My favorite teacher at FCDS is Dr. Sponholtz. Not only does he have an endless amount of fascinating stories and experiences, but he also piqued my interest in chemistry because of how passionate he is as an educator. I have also enjoyed working with him outside of the classroom. I will definitely treasure all the amazing memories from his class.

    My favorite memory from my time at FCDS would have to be bringing home the state championship trophy for cross country. I view this accomplishment as the culmination of lots of effort as well as a representation of the camaraderie of a great team. I could not have asked for better teammates or friends to run with and kick some butt along the way.

    Winning the state semifinal soccer game at Cary Christian my junior year when we were huge underdogs. My favorite teacher/class was Freshman Seminar with Mrs. Harrington because we read great books in her class. I am most looking forward to meeting new people and seeing new faces around campus.

    My favorite memory is hanging out in the college counseling office and eating candy. I loved chatting with Mrs. Hogan and Mrs. Miles. I’ll miss them so much!

    Scoring two goals against Westchester who had already beat us earlier in the seasons on Senior Night to help us win is my favorite memory.

    My favorite teacher is almost a tie between three but Mr. Trotter is probably the teacher I'm closest to after having three consecutive years of dedicated study under him.

    FCDS has supplied me with social and technical skills I do not think I would get anywhere else, as well as opportunities I believe are exclusive to our name and reputation.

    I'm most looking forward to a new place to study and to all the different opportunities that will arise in Charlotte.

    My favorite FCDS memory would probably the Calvary games. Especially the volleyball game my sophomore year. The soccer game had gotten canceled so both student sections were packed and our game went into 5 sets and we ended up winning.

    My favorite teacher is John Kildahl. Mr. Kildahl is the art teacher and he is also my advisor. He is my favorite teacher because he is always there for his students. Every Thursday he would bring our advisory bagels and homemade orange juice. He would also read us a poem every day (he still does virtually) to have a positive start to our days.

    My favorite FCDS memory was seeing PT in the cafe every morning. She would always greet everyone with a smile and often times a hug. She is probably the most caring person I have ever met. I love you PT!
