FCDS Band Program

Anna Morris has been the band director at FCDS since 2003. She teaches grades fifth through twelfth with levels ranging from beginning to upper school band. She previously taught beginning and intermediate bands at local Forsyth County schools. Anna is the principal oboist of the Western Piedmont Symphony and performs frequently with many local symphonies including the Greensboro Symphony and the Winston-Salem Symphony. She also teaches oboe to many private students in the Piedmont area. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee , Anna earned her bachelor's degree in music, summa cum laude, from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. She moved to North Carolina in 2000 to attend graduate school at N.C. School of the Arts, where she received a master's degree in oboe performance.
