FCDS Band Program

Sixth Grade Band at FCDS

In sixth grade, our young musicians continue their studies, but now are advanced enough to move to the next lesson book and into a whole new world of band music. They are more independent performers; learning to play their own parts while listening to the others around them. We will welcome beginners at this point, but they must seek outside instruction (private lessons) until they have caught up to their classmates. Our sixth graders perform for special assemblies, our Winter Concert and the Spring Concert. The sixth grade band will perform for the Winter Concert on December 15, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. In the spring they will perform on May 28, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium.
