Abraham Lincoln, 16th President


Abraham Lincoln was born in a log cabin on February 12, 1809 in Hardin, Kentucky. His mom and dad were Nancy and Thomas. Abe had to work and did not go to school very often. His mom died when he was 9. He grew to be 6 feet 4 inches. He did not fight in a war. He married Mary Todd. His children were Robert, Thomas, William, and Edward. Before he was President, he was a lawyer, a storekeeper, and a rail splitter. He wore a hat to keep his letters in. His hobbies were walking and wrestling. He became President of the United States in 1861 to 1865. He was the 16th President. He was a good President because he helped to end slavery and keep the states together. Abe was assassinated on April 5, 1865. Abraham Lincoln is on a penny.

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 in a log cabin in Kentucky. His parents were Thomas and Nancy. When he was a kid he loved math and reading. He had no formal education.
He led the country through the civil war. His wife was named Mary Todd. They had four children named Tad, Eddie, Robert, and Willie. Before he became President, he was a lawyer. He wore a hat to look good as a lawyer. He became President in 1861. He was the 16th President. He liked sports. He was 6 feet 4 inches tall. He was the tallest president. He was important because he was a great President and he freed slaves. He was the leader of the Civil War. He is on a penny because he was so important. He was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth in April 1865.

Abe was born in Kentucky he lived in a log cabin. Abe was an honest man. He would not lie. Some times he would travel miles to borrow a book. He was really quiet. Abe died in April 15, 1865. He was 56 when he died.
