VISUAL ART FOUNDATIONS, PRE-AP, AND AP STUDENTS
Extra-Credit! Guidelines : All extra-credit projects are to be turned in on the day that they are due! Please take the time to write-down the due dates in your organizers so that you will remember. Do not ask me if you can bring projects late. It defeats the purpose of setting a deadline in the first place and is not fair to those who remembered and met the deadline. Extra-credit projects are to be turned in by 8:30 AM on the due date – no exceptions. Make sure that your name is on your project! If you fail to take your project home or dispose of it, you will not receive the extra-credit. So, you have two dates to remember for each project, the delivery and the pick-up. Extra-credit art critiques will be turned in with your sketchbook for each semester sketchbook deadline or individually for the first and third quarter. Make sure that your name is on the critique! Extra-credit is unlimited. But, you must do the work and do it well for credit. See me for questions. I will give extra-credit assignment sheets a few weeks before each deadline for the following projects: Projects and Deadlines: Quarter One: Pumpkin Carving: Deliver pumpkins October 22. Pick-up of pumpkins is October 30 ….if you forget-no extra-credit! Cool websites are www.pumpkinmasters.com and www.pumpkingutter.com Quarter Two: Edible Architectural Constructions: examples are included in the handout. Due January 11 by 8:30 a.m. in the lobby of the JAC. Extra-credit must be picked up by January 15 at the end of the day! Quarter Three: Design, Bake and Decorate a Cake in the Style of Your Favorite Artist: To see samples of cakes made in previous years, click here. Quarter Four: Birdhouses for Habitat for Humanity's BirdFest: Deliver birdhouses April 16 to be judged in the Birdfest compeition. Birdhouses will be delivered to Habitat for sale in auction. Or, you may turn in a birdhouse to me by April 28 to be delivered that afternoon for the May 1, 2, and 3 sale. Please click here for the handout on this project.
