LD Online is an interactive guide to learning disabilities for parents, teachers, and children. LD OnLine is the official site of The Coordinated Campaign for Learning Disabilities. LD Online provides articles on a wide range of topics, national calendar of events, network of resources, artwork and writings by children, parents, and other individuals, and much more.

The Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center (ECAC)

Since 1980, The Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center (ECAC) has grown from an all volunteer parent organization to a full service Parent Training & Information Center serving families in North Carolina with more than 25 full and part-time staff and offices throughout NC. All services are provided at no charge to parents and families. It's easy to borrow one of these books or brochures from our lending library. Just call the ECAC office at 704/892-1321 to request the book you wish to borrow. Books will be mailed to you along with a postage paid, pre-addressed envelope in which the book is to be returned to ECAC. The ECAC libraries are free to any family or teacher in North Carolina.

Division TEACCH serves as an international model for delivering exemplary services to people with autism and their families throughout North Carolina. Operating with nine (9) Regional Centers, TEACCH provides diagnostic evaluation, individualized curriculum development, social skills training, vocational training, and parent counseling and training. In addition, TEACCH clinic staff provides consultation to classrooms, Group Homes, and other community agencies responsible for the welfare of handicapped children. School-age children attend public school programs in the many TEACCH-affiliated school systems around the state. Others receive residential or vocational services from community agencies closely tied to the TEACCH Program. Division TEACCH strives to implement exemplary services for the over 5000 people with autism in North Carolina and their families by assisting appropriate mental health agencies and developing necessary direct services if appropriate agencies are unavailable.

The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), Division of Learning Disabilities (DLD)
