The FCDS Alumni
Class Agent Program
What is it?
This is an exciting, ongoing communication program being launched by the Alumni Association and the Development and Communications office.
What is its mission?
- The mission is to serve as a structure for facilitating and increasing communication and connections
among alumni and between alumni and FCDS. With the help of actively engaged Class Agents year
around, we’re attempting to achieve the following:
- To secure updated contact information from each classmate
- To create a vibrant social network of FCDS Alumni connected to one another and the school
- To create a steady flow of Alumni news and notes from classmates to be shared with classmates (whereabouts, family news, job/career changes and achievements, community involvement, unique endeavors and trips, etc.)
- To create a steady flow of Alumni news and notes and content for inclusion in FCDS media – the alumni newsletter, John’s Corner Blog on FCDS.org, et al.
Duties of the Class Agents:
- Request contact information updates for the benefit of fellow classmates and the school (if one has re-located, changed jobs, etc.)
- Promote alumni keeping in contact with one another and with FCDS by providing news of personal achievements, career news and family news
- Encourage attendance at school and alumni events (regional and those on school grounds and special events such as athletic team away games and tournament games)
- Pass along friendly reminders of important annual fundraising efforts, such as those for the Annual Fund and special campaigns such as those for new facility projects
Communication Methods:
- Phone calls, email and group email exchanges (distribution list of email addresses)
- Facebook pages (find classmates, link to one another’s page)
- Other networking Web portals such as LinkedIn
- In-person visits, attendance at events
- John’s Corner Blog on FCDS.org, alumni newsletter
