At the October 16 Board of Trustees meeting, the Board reiterated our commitment to developing first-rate facilities to house our growing fine and performing arts programs– and made an Arts Support Center for the Pollock Arts Academy our first priority for capital fundraising. Our plans for the Arts Support Center involves expanding the area between the auditorium and the Tierney gym to include the Scronce Orchestra Room and two new, spacious choral rooms. An expanded band room would remain in its current location, while the current weight room would be temporarily relocated to one-half of the Tierney Gymnasium, making the space below the current Art Loft available to the arts department for additional fine arts classroom space. This project would cost a projected $1.2 million.
