Our Director, Mignon Dobbins

As Music Department Chair at FCDS, Mignon’s responsibilities include directing upper school choirs and musical theater and teaching AP Music Theory. She has been singing with the Bel Canto Company, the Triad's professional choral ensemble, since 1991 and is a founding member of Bel Canto's Parkview
Elementary Residency Project. Mignon is also a regularly featured recording artist for Kindermusik International. She has been a member of the VoiceCare Network since 1998. Since the summer of 2002, Mignon has participated in a yearly conducting master class with Professor Rodney Eichenberger in St. Michaels, Maryland. A native of Jacksonville, Alabama, she received her Bachelor of Music in Education from UNCG. She now lives in Winston-Salem, where she directs the Baptist Medical Center Chorale and the Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship Choir.
