ALL-STATE CHORUS

Each winter, NCMEA sponsors the North Carolina All State Chorus to give our most outstanding students a chance to participate with other students of like ability in a highly select group and to give these students an opportunity to work with outstanding choral directors. Forsyth Country Day School is allotted a small number of positions in the chorus. Whenever scheduling permits, Upper School choral students participate in this exciting event.

NCMEA CHORAL FESTIVAL

The NCMEA large choral festival takes place each spring. Its purpose is to provide each performing group with an opportunity to improve and to evaluate its performance by comparison with a set standard of excellence and by comparison with the performance of other groups. Our ensemble and 9th grade chorus have been awarded superior and excellent ratings in performance and in sight-singing.
