Waiting Pool
Once a grade level is filled, Forsyth Country Day School will maintain an unranked waiting pool for applicants who qualify for admission but are not offered spaces due to classroom limitations. If a vacancy occurs at any time, the Admission Office will review the applications of those students in the waiting pool and make a selection based on the goals outlined in our "Academic Requirements."
Forsyth Country Day School encourages parents to consider the following guidelines regarding application for Junior Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten.
- If your child will reach his/her fourth birthday by July 1, you may wish to apply for Junior Pre-Kindergarten.
- If your child will reach his/her fifth birthday by July 1, you may wish to apply for Pre-Kindergarten
- If your child will turn 5 by July 1, you may wish to apply for Kindergarten
However, it is Forsyth Country Day School's belief that developmental maturity is more meaningful than chronological age in the determination of school readiness. Therefore, each assessment and admission decision is individualized.
