Library Sleepover

One fourth grade girl was the lucky winner of a "Sleepover in the Library" from the 2006 FCDS Auction. She and four friends spent the night in the Library on May 5, 2006. Photos from this night of fun, games, scrapbooking and ice cream are coming soon.

Summer Story Hours

Throughout the summer, the Lower School Library offers a story hour with stories, snacks, and fun for Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade students and their families.

Storytelling Festival with Len Cabral this year!

The Storytelling Festival, a week long celebration held early in the fall, traditionally features faculty, students, parents, and alumni as well as a national storyteller. All school divisions participate in this event. Funding for this event comes from the Parents’ Association and from the Lucy Cutler Memorial Fund. Past storytellers include John McCutcheon, Len Cabral, Bill Harley, Charlotte Blake Alston, Donald Davis, Poetry Alive, and Jim Weiss!
