Essay (two-page maximum). In one essay, please answer any or all of the questions listed below:
(1) What kinds of things do you hope to get out of the Headmaster's Internship Class?
(2) Admission to the class is limited to juniors and seniors. Also, it is limited to six individuals at a time. Thus, it is necessary for the admission committee to put together a cohesive group that can add as much as possible to that semester's class. In that regard, what kinds of things do you think you can "bring to the table" to the Headmaster's Internship Class (For example: Do you have any unique perspectives gained from previous leadership opportunities or jobs? Or, is there a particular area of interest you have that will help you make the class better?)
(3) Specifially, why do you want to take the Headmaster's Internship Class? How do you think the class will impact the rest of your academic and co-curricular schedule?
(4) In what areas do you think the school could improve; and in what ways do you think we could make this happen as a class? (For example, academic and programmatic offerings at the school, athletics, fine arts, endowment, campus improvements....)
(5) The main emphasis of the class is a semester project (please see the home page of the web site). What are your preliminary thoughts about a semester project which you might undertake?
* Note: While your name will appear on this Web form, and will - eventually - be tied to your application, on all applications names will be blind to the admission committee.
