Leadership Curriculum

Because Forsyth Country Day School seeks to train its students to become leaders in many areas once they leave our school, we are in the process of developing a defined leadership curriculum. This program will become part of our graduation requirements, and will include specific coursework for students in grades 7-12.

 

Pending development and approval of the curriculum, the program may include:

• An Ethics course
• Outdoor leadership exercises
• Community internships
• The LEAD Program: Leadership Awareness Training for 11th grade students from all county schools
• Training exercises by grade
• Meetings/workshops with community and corporate leaders
• Case studies
• Coursework examining historical leaders
• Developing a leadership and awareness pilot program in partnership with the Krispy Kreme Foundation and Harvard University
