Part 4: Analysis of Instructional and Organizational Effectiveness

The Analysis of Instructional and Organizational Effectiveness requires that schools address two fundamental tasks. The first task is to establish a baseline or benchmark of high quality standards or performance in the field. The second task is to assess the extent to which those standards/
principles are reflected in the life and practices of the school. As expressed in NSSE documentation, “Part 4 focuses on an analysis of the quality of the work of the school on behalf of student learning.” The process undertaken by FCDS focused on the analysis of school strengths found in stakeholder surveys and faculty reflection based on anecdotal evidence. The strengths identified and anecdotal evidence offered in support is consistent and provides an adequate summary of community perceptions of organizational and instructional effectiveness. Building on this base of information and widening the net of data collection as well as sharpening the focus of the committee on performance and performance measures will move FCDS forward in analyzing its operational effectiveness.
