Amanda Friedline Weber joined Forsyth Country Day School in 2010. She earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, where she also played collegiate soccer, traveled to Japan with Hope’s athletic training exchange program, and did a summer internship with Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Orlando, FL. With scholarships from both the NCAA and the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, from 2008 – 2010 she attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a master’s degree in athletic training through exercise and sports science. While at UNC-CH, she worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for UNC’s wrestling, cross country, and track and field teams. She also worked as an instructor for UNC’s Lifetime Fitness program. Her master’s thesis work was published in the Journal of Athletic Training. Amanda believes in continuing education and has attended numerous athletic training conferences since completing her graduate studies. She also recently received her M1 Certification in the Graston Technique. Amanda and her husband Jason live in Winston-Salem.
