A native of Winston-Salem and an FCDS alumnus, Hill earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Davidson College. Upon graduation, Hill went in to the family clothing business, Norman Stockton, Inc. He worked at Norman Stockton for 28 years, serving as president for 18 years.

Hill joined the Forsyth Country Day School Development Office in 2010 as executive director of the Fury Club. He became director of development in 2011. He has served on the boards of the Salvation Army, Centenary United Methodist Church, Brenner Children’s Hospital, the National Retail Federation’s Executive Committee, and the Forsyth Country Day School Board of Trustees. Hill and his wife Kathy, a teacher in the Johnson Academic Center, have three children: Katie (FCDS 2009), Richard (FCDS 2011), and Elizabeth (FCDS 2016).
