Sara earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics and her master's degree in teaching from Marshall University, where she was captain of the JV cheerleading squad. A teacher at North Forsyth High School for two years, Sara taught algebra I, geometry, and honors geometry and served as the team leader for algebra I and geometry. She was a member of the Algebra I Improvement Committee, and she worked to remediate students for the algebra I end-of-course test. In addition, Sara (a former gymnastics instructor) coached JV cheerleading.Before joining the faculty at North Forsyth, Sara worked at Sylvan Learning Center, where she taught math to students of myriad age levels and taught test-taking skills for the ACT in math and science.
