Dennis enters his 3rd year at Forsyth Country Day as the Executive Director of the Fury Club. Dennis first entered the field of education as a Spanish teacher and coach. Dennis was named the Winston-Salem Chronicle Coach of the Year and has won many conference Coach of the Year Awards during his 12 year coaching career in football, golf (girls' and boys') basketball (boys' and girls'). He has been recognized for his community service with awards such as the Spartan Service Award, given to the member of the school community that contributed to the enhancement of the Mount Tabor community, and also a service award for the Hispanic League of the Piedmont Triad. Over the course of his athletic administration career at Mount Tabor and Parkland high schools, Dennis used an entrepreneurial mindset and innovative efforts to create an exciting atmosphere for student athletes. He started the first Winston-Salem public school women's golf program. Along with his wife MAP Director and Fury Field Hockey coach Kristen Ring, they created the first Winston-Salem public school field hockey team, and the Spartan field hockey jamboree. Dennis was the creator and director of many of the city-wide sporting events, such as the Flow Auto Plaza Holiday Basketball tournament which is now entering its 11th year.

In his somewhat short tenure at Forsyth, Dennis has created the Junior Fury Club and a series of signature events that bring college scouts to our campus. Dennis also developed the Forsyth Haunted Trail. He is a member of the Hall of Fame committee, and has been instrumental in the increased media attention given to our student athletes, coaches and alumni. The Fury Club has grown into a vital part of the school, providing mentoring opportunities for our varsity players through Jr. Fury Clinics, Homecoming events, morning pep rallies and special Lower and Middle school fan appreciation nights. Dennis is a partner in the Hitting Zone, an indoor batting facility on Stratford Road and with Zone Apparel. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family. Dennis' wife Kristen is the Director of the MAP program. They have two children, Reilly (1st grade) and Colby (Pre-K).
