Ashley graduated from Greensboro College with a bachelor's degree in special education with a concentration in learning differences. Ashley has had training in Wilson, Language!, and the Hill programs. She has been a member of the Council of Exceptional Children for seven years. Before coming to FCDS in 2004, she spent three years as a Learning Differences specialist at the Piedmont School. While at Greensboro College, she played volleyball as a defensive specialist. In addition to her JAC responsibilities, Ashley will be entering her fourth season as head varsity volleyball coach. She is honored to represent North Carolina for the American Volleyball Coaching Association's High School Senior All-American program. Ashley also coaches and is Co-Director of the Triad Volleyball Club. This experience and additional course work has earned her a position as a national level one certified coach through USA Volleyball. Ashley also coaches with the Carolina Region High Performance program and is a two-time PACIS Coach of the Year award winner. Ashley married Brian in the fall of 2001, and they reside in Winston-Salem with their two Labradors Samson and Darcy.
