A native of Pennsylvania, Kevin received a bachelor's degree in movement studies and exercise science with a concentration in athletic training from East Stroudsburg University. He received his master's degree in sports medicine from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. While at UNC-G, he co-authored a published refereed journal article comparing the EMG activity of muscles under different exercise stresses, which helps justify exercise time frames in the rehabilitation process. Kevin began working at FCDS in June of 2000, the month and year of his wedding anniversary to his wife Sarah. He competed nationally for ten years in track cycling at the junior and collegiate level, and also officiated World Cup and Olympic Trial cycling events leading up to the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
